Michael Himes

Well, I often tell people there's the god in your head and then there's God, and you have to sometimes smash that idol of the god in your head to experience God.

Well, I always like Michael Himes' line that the best we can ever do is come up with the least wrong way to talk about God.

Susan, uh, our producer Maggie, uh, said to me before the show when we were talking about images of God that she was worried that, uh, you know, that she'd be called to, like, martyrdom or something like that.

Mm-hmm.
