Welcome Michael Gungor to The Conversation.

Hi,

thanks for having me.

I have a podcast loving this.

Um, So anyway, yeah, you can check my workouts.

Search my name, Gungor, Michael Gungor.

Yep.

a fair amount of chris tomlin michael gungor was really popular in doing the acquire the fire thing at the time and i know there has been at times the idea of canceling him because of his own struggles with faith that he was very public about but it's like can can i still keep some of those songs or should i ditch them i'm not big on let's just cancel everyone but But how do we do that when the personal memory is very strong? I've seen Tomlin and Matt Redman live.

I've seen Crowder live as well.

And how do we do this?

So what about some of these artists that really do complicate the story? So some of these artists that have stayed within evangelicalism or inside evangelical music, but we also start seeing or knowing some of their own personal stories.

One of you mentioned Amy Grant and her taking some stances or ideas.

I think we could also talk about some of the, like Michael Gungor is an artist that occurred to me a couple of days ago.

He was very open about going through some really deep doubt and all that at one point in time, identified as an atheist for a time.

And I can't wait to see where it takes us further.

so that felt like more clear and succinct my episode goes into a few different places i encourage you to hear it but it's just for me sharing uh a little bit more about me and how it's been and but but that's just the surface so i look forward to sharing more um maybe i said this in the uh other intro that i did or whatnot but um i mean i kind of feel like excited about um you know just having this be set to the music of, well, I was going to say, Smokeless Fire, Michael Gungor.

Very catalytic music, so that feels fitting.

All right, well, I hope you enjoy this and have a blast listening.
