I remember the late Les Twentyman, and I sometimes work with Les speaking to younger people, and Les said the best speakers... are those who have actually experienced hardship or experienced jail or done something because the kids look and then think, you've been there, you fully understand it, and they have the most effect.

But we also talk about his career as a writer.

We talk a lot about... guys cause guys openly gay and we talk and he's also would describe himself as fat.

So we talk a lot about what it is to be both openly gay and fat and show business and how showbiz is not easy on either of those groups, but certainly not easy on that group in one when it's in one person.

A guy sort of went viral a few years ago when he talked about his feelings about the movie, the whale, the Academy award winning movie, the whale for an air Frazier won an Academy award for that movie.

But there's also been the thing of like... watching since 2020, the diversity of writers' rooms expand and contract has been fascinating.

And it is, you know, like we're not in the world, when I first went into a scripted writer's room where you could bet that the only person of color would be the writer's assistant or the staff writer to, we're in a much better world now, but there is also a way that, you know, those white guys who wrote on Friends, they are coming back for their revenge.
