This is going to be a full spoiler discussion on season three of The Legend of Korra, which we are catching up on in time for Avatar Seven Havens, which is coming out next month.

This season came out in 2014, showrun by Mike DiMartino and Brian Konietzko, as the whole franchise is.

One thing that I really appreciate about this show, you know, and I've been critical about certain aspects of the show, but I overall like it.

But one thing I'll say that I haven't brought up before as we've been doing these reviews is I like the fact that every season is its own story.

So they did the movie that came out that was featuring Adultang, the name of which is evading me.

And then they're doing this new show, which this really feels like the big new thing.

And, you know, maybe briefly in the movie that I guess retroactively happened.

Here's Mike from the Korra book to art book, just to reemphasize what they're attempting to do.

Mike says it was important to us to show how being children of the Avatar wasn't without its challenges.

But to me, this story was less about Aang's parenting skills and more about Tenzin Kayambumi's issues surrounding their self-worth and issues with one another regarding their relationship with their father.

And also earlier in the art book, he mentioned that he thought that was a good thing to get into thematically to interplay with the kind of family strife in the Southern Water Tribe at the time that was happening as well.

yeah okay i think yeah and i interested to see where this goes uh with with books three and four but this is definitely my one of my what-ifs with cora is what if we kind of, kind of handled this differently.

Uh, and you know, like they're purposely not like doing flashbacks to Aang Katara as parents.

And it's like, I don't know, like with Korra, you get a lot of Mike and Brian pivoting and not like thematically content.
