Well, first of all, it's good to be with you and share the final story of Columbia and her seven-member crew.

The day of the landing as the launch director, my role on launch day was largely ceremonial.

We had already conducted the mission, and so we were waiting for Columbia to come home.

And my habit as a launch director was to go to the Launch Control Center on landing day and watch the deorbit burn when the astronauts fired the little orbiter maneuvering system engines to slow the ship down so it could drop out of orbit.

And so I did that for my routine, and everything went fine there.

So after February 1st, 2003, did you experience PTSD, or at what point were you able to move past what happened?
