Taking someone like, you know, Michael Cuisance, you know, isn't necessarily a kind of six actually, and historically he's played a little higher up the pitch in the way that Thomasson used to do, but was really encouraging in his kind of full competitive debut yesterday.

So hopefully, who knows, this is a trick that maybe they can pull off again with a good transfer window, right? Because there's been lots of comings and lots of goings.

And unfortunately, that is the case, right? If you're a team from Ligue 1 that really overperforms, your best elements do tend to get poached.

should we talk about their summer transfer window a little bit i mean we've talked a lot about the departures of which there have been quite a few maybe also malang sar who's gone to saudi arabia that we haven't talked about yet who is yeah a key kind of you know part of their back three uh you know nice left left-sided left-footed defender let's talk about maybe the arrivals i think certainly people Yesterday, we were really impressed with the totally new look central midfield of Ercelens, which is Michael Cuisance, the return, right, of the prodigal son of French football, right? I think it was a bit of a wonder kid that maybe FM players will know about.

And I think we've seen in the past as well, they've struggled to balance Champions League with Ligue 1 action, how they're going to fare with that this time around when there are not that many members of the squad left over from the last time they were in the Champions League.

So that's definitely a scenario I'll be keeping a keen eye on, not necessarily one that I think is going to evolve from strength to strength, but there's some really interesting moves that have already been made by Lance, not least the return of Cuisance to Ligue 1, somebody who also returned him to France.

somebody who has always been heralded as this massive talent but has never quite hit the heights that many people expected of him I know he had that loan spell with Marseille that was pretty underwhelming so I'm curious to see if he's now going to find himself in the right conditions to finally start performing and living up to some of that early career hype But in terms of some of the other appointments, I think it's great that Will Still and Liam Rossignol are coming back to Ligue 1.

I think for the English-speaking contingent in and around the league, I think that's going to make it more accessible, more of something that people want to keep an eye on week in, week out.

Yeah, I'm curious to see how things play out for those teams.

I also think for Angers, going for Anthony Lopez after a very difficult time for him at Nantes is also an interesting one because he, in theory, brings the experience that they need, but also I feel like he's way past his best now and given the strain you would imagine that he's put on Angers relatively limited finances that could be a fairly risky maneuver but equally it could be a masterstroke having his level of experience having less expectation and pressure on him than he had at Nantes.

But I think for me, one of the transfers that I'm most interested in coming into this campaign is the one I mentioned earlier, Cuisance to Lance.

I feel like he is a talent who lost his way a long time ago.

They've obviously had sort of a big sort of introduction, I guess.

So you've got Robin Risser in goal, another sort of at the more expensive end at 5.5. You've got Udol at six defensively, Ganyu, Abdulhamid, Navroki, 5.5. Midfield, you've got Florian Thauvin and Thorgan Hazard, which feels very what year is this? Michael Cuisance, Abdallah Seema, names that will be familiar to some people.

I think Cuisance was nearly a Leeds player at one point.

um, SEMA was up to Brighton, spent a year on loan at Rangers.
