Michael Beck

Hill is best known for 48 Hours and its sequel.

It stars Michael Beck, best known for Xanadu, James Remar, best known as Dexter's dad on Dexter, both of them, by the way, on Cameo, David Patrick Kelly, best known for the first two John Wicks, and Deborah Van Valkenburgh, best known for Streets of Fire, which is another Walter Hill film.

There are a bunch of that guys, including Lynn Thigpen, best known for Bear in the Big Blue House, and Mercedes Ruhl, best known for being both a waitress and an actress.

It made $22.5 million on a $4 million budget.

Hey, welcome to Jeff Lewis Has Issues.

In today's episode, Kim Whitley and Michael Beck join the show.

We talk about hoarding tendencies, wedding invitations, and waxing.

Kim, good morning.

We

do have to talk about something very important.

I don't know if Michael Beck is aware of what you did to your friend Charlene.

She claims that she is a girl's girl, Michael, but she is not.

I felt like they need now.

I mean, Michael Beck did not sing, you know, his part and he couldn't sing, but even still just have him lip sync the damn thing.

In that scene, I felt like it'd be more of a musical if they've been singing to each other about how, you know, suddenly the wheels are in motion and all this.

And I would go across any ocean and all that.

Chris.

It's all good.

So I also wanted to mention Michael Beck because he played Sonny Malone.

And he was coming off of a very big, another cult movie, The Warriors in 1979.

The story is famous piece of behind-the-scenes trivia, and it highlights director Walter Hill's style of letting a scene breathe.

When filming that iconic walk on the beach at Breezy Point, Fort Tilden in Queens, Walter Hill deliberately never called cut- Uh, because Hill didn't yell cut, the actors Michael Beck, Debra Van Valkenburgh.

I never knew her name was Mercy.

I didn't even know she had a name in that show.

I will text Dave

... [laughs] for the pre-Gen Z. Michael Beck, yeah, definitely.

Um-

Yes

Great voice.

Oh

... pre-Xanadu Michael Beck.

He's so charming, even as a [laughs] gang member.
