That was, um...

I mean, this would be Hall of Fame worthy, but Michael Atherton on commentary just as soon as the ball hit his bat, "That's out.

That is out.

That is absolutely out.

So there's only been one or two little snippets.

I did read the piece in the News Corp papers written from The Times originally coming from Michael Atherton.

That was the main thing that I read about it apart from, of course, the hardcore cricket websites.

My opinion – look, I was surprised initially because, as you mentioned, everything that's happened in the past.

He scored centuries against Australia, Pakistan, New Zealand, all in one day internationals, had 37 T20 internationals as well, played against all the major nations.

So he's got enormous experience.

And I think it was stealing this from what Michael Atherton wrote in the Times, the line about the lure of the dressing room.

For anyone who's played at the elite level already, I think that's enormous.

... for most of the day, um, decided to dip into the, uh, the '80s trend that has, uh, has lit up Instagram and various other, um, social media, um, a- and posted photographs of, of all of the commentary team.

So that'll be the, the three of us, Urooj Mumtaz, um, uh, Mike Atherton.

Chris Woakes is supposed to be joining us on Saturday.

We might have to, we might have to move him forward a bit.

We're not sure we're gonna get to Saturday.

Um, a- and then of course Nasser and, uh, a- and Mike Atherton in, in our full regalia really.

And that's sort of been what everyone else has been up to this week in a more public way.

So last week, Mike Atherton, of course, former England captain and Times chief cricket correspondent Nick Holt, who does the same job at The Telegraph, launched a campaign for Harold Larwood to have a portrait in the Lord's Longroom.

Now, this was prompted initially by the fact that when Larwood's grandson visited Lords last year, he was surprised to find that while Douglas Jardine, Larwood's captain, of course, does have a portrait, Larwood does not.

Now, let me nail my flag to the mast here.

I think the other argument being made is that he was not treated well in his lifetime, or at least not treated well by certain aspects of the cricketing establishment in England in his lifetime.

I think he was treated very well, as I understand it, in Australia later in his career.

And I think there is a sense among Atherton and other supporters that this is a sort of making right.

There is also a bit of a sense that this unfairness isn't there.

Did that for the second time in a row.

And our dear friend, Mr Cameron McFarlane, made his commentary debut at the weekend and was told, actually, that he sounds like Michael Atherton.

So I think he'll take that to the bank.

I mean, there are definitely words I can call him that aren't Mark Latherton and definitely aren't suitable for a family friendly audience that we have here, Philip.
