Again, I don't know if this is Larry in Micanopy or Marilyn in Gainesville.

How about James Madison's getting a penalty before the game even started? [laughs] Navy can't catch a break.

For those who missed it, uh, they had a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty when one of their players hit another one of the players during the warmup.

So I went home, and then a day later I woke up and she was like, "Kosuke's waking up." So I drove like...

Anybody from Ocala is gonna know how crazy it is to drive 100 through Micanopy.

[laughs]

So I'm going through 100 through Micanopy on the way to Gainesville, which is, like, a trap for cops.

Yeah.

And, uh, could barely walk at that point, 'cause my nerves were so damaged from doing nothing.

It took them a long time to get to Florida, and even then they didn't stop off until they got south of Gainesville in the vicinity of Micanopi.

They'd been on the trail so long, it stands to reason they'd stop off at a village, which is what Micanopy was then, but it was originally called Cuscawilla.

By the time Grandmother Mahaley Flint arrived, white settlers had already been there some 40 years.

However, the site of the settlement was once occupied by Timucuan Indians, a tribe that came before the Seminoles in Florida.

She lived.

And afterward, she made herself a bonnet that covered up the bad way her head looked and she wore that bonnet night and day till the day she died.

Grandmother Mahaley, along with her three sons, lived on for a while south of Gainesville in the vicinity of Micanopy, but eventually she felt the urge to move south again.

So she and her sons packed up their belongings and headed almost due south.
