Miami Hurricanes Women's Volleyball

You know, they've played kind of the bottom half of the ACC, but it's not shocking to me they're undefeated.

And then you've got Pitt, SMU, Miami at 5-1, and Florida State at 4-1.

It's kinda-

kinda-I don't want to say it's what we thought, but it's ki- it is kind of what we thought.

Uh, Pitt will be back at it Friday.

They take on Florida State, and then Sunday they take on Miami.

Go support Pitt volleyball, uh, 'cause they're pretty damn good.

They're playing, uh, Victory Heights too.

They had won the Duke match, but they lost to 25th ranked North Carolina in five sets.

[lip smack] And then this weekend they had the Friday game postponed in Jacksonville, largely because of the hurricane, and they went to the Hurricanes, and they played today against Miami.

They lost as well in five sets.

So they now stand at, uh, their overall record is 11 and five.

So y- obviously they lost in the college football playoff, but they had won eight in a row in the ACC.

They didn't go to the college football playoff.

Miami did.

Well, they, they were the ACC-

They'll be, uh, they also have another road...

So they got two straight road weeks, 'cause then they play in Florida, play Florida State and Miami.

Uh, and then they'll be back in town against Syracuse and Boston College.

So the volleyball team now stands at 10 and 3 overall, 2 and 0 in the conference.

... touchdowns.

Stanford, this was the most p- amount of passing yards that Stanford has posted in a game in seven years, Steven.

This was the team that against Miami and Duke in the last two weeks put up-

Yeah

NC State's middle game is anchored by Taleah Frankum, who registered a career high 11 blocks against the Seminoles last season when they met.

They face an FSU squad hungry to stabilize their performance after a straight-set loss to Miami left them at an even .500 on the season.

So I think that one will be a fun one to watch.

I'm thinking, you know, four or five setter right there.

Florida State has absolutely controlled this match-up historically, winning 26 of the last 27 meetings and dropping only a single set over the last seven match-ups combined against the Demon Deacons.

Insane.

Returning home after splitting a tough away series with Miami, the Seminoles will look to assert front row dominance early in this match-up.

Um, I think it'll be a fun one.

They are heading out this next weekend to play the North Carolina, play Duke and North Carolina Friday and Sunday.

They'll be, they also have another road, so they get two straight road weeks because then they play in Florida, play Florida State and Miami.

And then they'll be back in town against Syracuse and Boston College.

So the volleyball team now stands at 10-3 overall, 2-0 in the conference.

But there were other guys that were ruled out and did not play at all in this game.

Um, from rotational guys like AJ Hoffler, Shymeek Jones, and Trey Stevenson to, you know, every game starter so far this year, um, Savion Riley, um, um, sorry jameson riggs and you also had josephine not a miss this game as well who was labeled as a game time decision you also had malachi hosley out so there were a lot and i need a lot of rotational players that did not that were did not suit up for this game phoenix felton was even hurt so george tech had tay harris and then they were playing true freshmen back at safety in chris hewitt and keelan jones And it kind of showed up because Georgia Tech allowed sixth year senior Davis Warren, who had one season of starting experience up until this year at Michigan, where he was tasked with don't screw it up.

um he they allowed him to have a career day throwing for 396 yards and what 396 yards and three touchdowns stanford this was the most amount of passing yards that stanford has posted in a game in seven years steven this was the team that against miami and duke in the last two weeks put up a combined 13 points we said on this show they had struggled With the power four teams that they had played, and Miami's good, Duke looks pretty good, but seven points is seven points.

If you're not able to break double digits in back-to-back games, at a certain point you're a bad offense.
