MG 4 EV

and it's you know the you have to consider right the renault 5 won last year and kind of probably walked away with it does the fact that it's now nissan mean that it's any worse

no no but and I know it was very tight last year between the Insta and the Renault 5 it was very tight yeah so will there be two cars this year in that same category like the MG4 Urban is also like the boot on that is probably the biggest boot out of all of these cars but there's many ways you can judge a car on why it's why you think it's really great

and like for me look I'd be I'd be very in line with you I haven't driven the ID Polo yet but probably won't actually and the Cooper Eval I absolutely love what a car really really good car but I loved the Grande Panda absolutely loved the Grande Panda

yeah it's got some lovely little touches to hark back to the original factory I love that pull out cable at the front of it for the slower charging I just think it's you know it's why not you know it's cool yeah and the hybrid one is good

Could possibly say the same for the Reval.

So we've got about 30 voting jurors and you don't need all of them to give your car number one preference for you to win, but you do need a substantial proportion of them.

I think the MG4 could surprise people.

But I think, yeah, the Reval for me is probably the standout car there.

So just moving on.

think it would be safe to say that he wasn't really falling over himself to love it only giving it three stars so which is not ideal really for what you know what one would hope from

a manufacturer like mg i mean they set out and they were quite honest they said we don't expect it to set the world alight

But I'm looking at two vehicles.

The MG4 Urban, for her, she's to replace her Skoda Rapid.

You know, the 1.4 turbo in her car, it's had no problems whatsoever.

But I wanted to get something of a similar size in a hatchback.

But yeah, so as I said, the Xpeng LO3, can't comment on that one other than what I've seen and read.

And as I said, it looks like it's going to be a sharp car in terms of pricing.

But the MG4 Urban is great buying at that money.

They're doing them, as you know, $29,990 at the moment.

Oh, yeah.

Look, that, that was, that was good, but that was an MG4.

Yeah.

Um, closer to home, the Leapmotor BO3X, uh, has arrived, $29,990 drive away.

Very affordable.

Uh, putting it, I think, on par with the MG4 EV Urban or thereabouts in price.

Probably very similarly sized as well.

I have been driving a very normal MG, MG4 Urban.

I don't mind the look of the, um, the MG4.

I think, I think the MG4 previous one's a nasty looking thing inside and out.

But it's really about that ecosystem which exists now, which is ripe for the opportunity that we have.

And In terms of sales, we introduced the MG4 EV Urban back in April, and that's been doing really well for us.

It's a great product.

True hatchback size, compatible with many popular brands, but it gives great efficiency.

It's also got the great fun to drive experience that you have with MG's rear wheel drives, but we've translated this into a front wheel drive vehicle.

So the MG4 EV Urban is one which we've seen good pick up in the last few months.

So in terms of the MG portfolio, Kevin, so you mentioned the MG, the Urban is doing well.

But we're still very much, SUVs are still very popular in all forms of vehicles.
