So this is the third and final cover of on this album and this is technically speaking the oldest song on the album the only song that was written in the 1960s which is weird because the lyrics and music were written by Elton John and Bernie Taupin who I do not associate with the 60s at all except for the fact that they existed during that decade um but this is the cover of elton john's 1970 hit that reached the top 10 in america and what a relief man we finally get a rhythm section once again i kind of dig that like everything just is very jazzy and upbeat to start this song and it cooks pretty much all the way throughout like the Backing band that would go on to be called MFSB, standing for Mother, Father, Sister, Brother, who themselves would have a number one hit with an instrumental called The Sound of Philadelphia.

They're really good here, man.

Like, it's just a wonderful track.
