Mexican hairless dog

Right

... we also meet the z- the Xolo dog, the, um, Nahuatl, um, like what is now known as Mexico, um, the dog of the underworld.

That if you are loving to dogs, the dog will come and swim you across the river, but if you have been cruel to dogs, no one will come for you and you're stuck.

Isn't that amazing?

Um-

It's Xoloitzcuintli.

[laughs]

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's not it.

Maybe we get the s- backstory of his abuelo being someone powerful as well and part of destroying the sugar Hollows.

Maybe they use ofrendas over there to have, to purify Hollows and have some Xolo dog Hollows help guide the Hollows back after they've been petrified or purified.

Oh, the Xolo dogs.

Um, the king of their Hueco Mundo is a sugar skull Rayquaza-looking Menos Grande.

The hero through, the hero, though, like Captain Commander, has powers like Byakuya but uses marigolds instead.

Ooh.

That's like, that's like the shittiest day in the world for them.

Well, especially using Xolos.

Paolo said a happy hello to Rosa when he arrived at her side and introduced his friend.

His friend was a big dog called Xolo.

Xolo was soft and brown with big flappy ears which pointed straight up in the air.

He stood tall on long legs and smiled, his tongue lolling.

panting in the sun.

Paolo explained that after meeting Rosa he had been considering her dreams of adventure.

He had an idea.

His friend Xolo was the town gardener's dog.

He's got a marigold.

And then the dog next to him is the Xolo dog.

And there's like old folk tales about like the Xolo squintly being like the guide through the spirit realm and stuff.

So I kind of added some pinks and some blues to it to give it this sort of like surrealness where it had this sensation of like it being like an alebrije, like a spirit guide.

So the dog is kind of like guiding it through the land.

Um, but incredible dogs, ancient DNA.

Uh, very, very few health problems if you want one, kinda like the, uh, Xoloitzcuintle.

Very few health problems because it's an ancient breed.

But yeah, come join us at the Cemetery Shrooms podcast, folks.
