Mexia High School

Anna Nicole's Aunt Kay's home in Mexia, Texas, is described as a teeny-tiny two-bedroom home, and later on her friend Jo's family invited her to live with them in Mexia.

Anna Nicole dropped out of ninth grade at Mexia High School.

There's a Yahoo News article from February of 2007 just after her passing that's interviewing teachers at Mexia High School.

The article is titled High School Remembers Anna Nicole, Barely.

Quote, "Teachers at Mexia High School said transcripts showed that she had transferred there from a Houston school, attended at least one semester of ninth grade in Mexia, but did not complete a whole term of 10th grade." There's some interviews where her mother kind of laughs that Anna Nicole just wanted to stay there long enough to get her photo in the yearbook.

And I'll also say, if this about her high school transcripts is true, then that is supportive of what we learned later, that she was not born in Mexia, Texas.

After dropping out of high school, Anna Nicole starts working at Jim's Crispy Fried Chicken in Mexia.
