I know that seems totally out of left field.

I'll tell this story about when I went down to Metropolis, Illinois.

And saw the book hearing.

It wasn't even a book hearing there.

You can't, I mean, the fact that it's about, that was about like books in general, that was actually about

the

library, the library as a place of learning and what should its character be And the basic thing that the people of Metropolis decided was that it shouldn't be a Christian library.

And it was sort of amazing to me because I was a theological librarian.

There have been some.

The very first year we did it nationally in Metropolis, Illinois, Massac County High School, three girls were arrested.

They were not taken to the police department, but they were arrested and then released.

um and so there was a lawsuit that came out of that in richardson high school in the 90s there were two different times when students were harassed and physically pushed they weren't hurt but that's but i look at that i keep looking for more examples of this kind of persecution if you will but it hasn't happened much so i'd reassure first of all a student to say you know it's really unlikely that that's going to happen but it could And so encourage him to step out, to be bold, but to step into it with courage.
