AlastairHOST
27:45
Metroid Dread sales have surged following the announcement of Metroid Ravenous.
AlastairHOST
27:50
Reddit moderator James Archbox-Williams, who was selling a massive library of pirated Nintendo Switch games, has failed to show up to the court hearing, so Nintendo pushed for a default judgement, requesting an eye-watering £4.5 million in damages, which has been granted by the courts.
AlastairHOST
28:05
Whether he ever actually pays it or not is a whole other matter.
AntonHOST
31:07
But actually, maybe ask me in about, you know, seven years if I agree with that statement.
AntonHOST
31:12
Maybe not.
AntonHOST
31:13
Metroid Dreadsales going up with Metroid Ravenous.
AntonHOST
31:18
It's funny that I was actually thinking of picking up another version or picking up Metroid Dread and giving it a proper go again.
Mike MinottiHOST
47:45
And Jeff, Mario Party is more important than whenever the fuck Xbox is doing grub.
Mike MinottiHOST
47:49
What are your expectations for Metroid Ravenous? Is there anything specific you want to do different than Dread? Aside from maybe better music.
Mike MinottiHOST
47:56
I know you guys talked about the Ravenous mechanic before, but I'm wondering if there is something specific you guys want from new 2D Metroid so Mike doesn't complain about how he's not like he is with Castlevania, which I kind of agree with.
Mike MinottiHOST
48:07
You're not alone, Mike.
Fran MirabellaHOST
22:33
So on that note, we are going to talk a little more about the backstory when Boson showed up versus the rest of us.
Fran MirabellaHOST
22:38
But as a reminder, we do want to talk Metroid Ravenous.
Fran MirabellaHOST
22:41
It was just something I really wanted to get into.
Fran MirabellaHOST
22:43
We had Metroid Dread's, I think, fifth anniversary kind of at the same time.

20 MINS LATER

Mark BozonGUEST
42:45
I never feel like I'm out of control, but it definitely takes a little bit of time to get my attack and get to the payoff, but not so much that it does not feel like Castlevania or it doesn't feel like it has flow to me.
Mark BozonGUEST
42:54
really has yeah
Fran MirabellaHOST
42:55
yeah it's probably it's more the visual style i guess for me that it it it doesn't feel like a departure necessarily but it's it's interesting because we'll talk about it later but i am like in love with the direction that metroid ravenous is going which is taking on some like anime kind of you know just anime vibes and i was like yes this is what it needs you know versus like with this what i wanted to frame the visual style was like did you ever play like bloodstained and there's like the last faith and like those are darker style And I think that's, for me, I could be wrong, but are some fans like just, do they wish that it was a little more like darker? And is that even appropriate to say that? Because I haven't made it that far in the game.
Fran MirabellaHOST
43:31
You know, I'm like, I'm just, I beat the first boss.
Theo WalskiHOST
9:59
million.
Matt DuarioHOST
10:16
know in size you've got um metroid ravenous is gonna be like 20 25 in there you know the zelda the uh tears of the kingdom is 20 breath of the wild is 25 like for that size to not have to eat up all the memory on my on my switch yeah and Hate to say this,
Theo WalskiHOST
10:44
but if I get a switch to...
Theo WalskiHOST
10:46
But to your point with that statement, didn't we previously talk about how Nintendo's moving away from games being on the cartridge? It's still only a license anyways?

17 MINS LATER

Theo WalskiHOST
28:01
But I still have not played Ocarina of Time, and I don't know if it's worth me getting a Switch 2.
Matt DuarioHOST
28:07
Oh, it's not.
Matt DuarioHOST
28:10
That and Metroid Ravenous.
Matt DuarioHOST
28:13
And honestly, I love my Switch 2.
Krysta YangHOST
18:00
Yeah.
Kit EllisHOST
18:00
Um, January we have Metroid Ravenous.
Krysta YangHOST
18:02
Mm-hmm.
Kit EllisHOST
18:02
All right, that's, that month is covered.
Doominal CrossingHOST
6:49
So I, I thought that was just so cool.
Andy SpiteriHOST
6:52
Yeah, um, super, super awesome, and you're right, we're gonna be talking a lot of Castlevania for the month of October, um, prob- a- and maybe, maybe even into November here, uh, depending on what we get from Metroid Ravenous.
Andy SpiteriHOST
7:03
But of course Belmont's Curse is coming out.
Andy SpiteriHOST
7:06
This game looks awesome.
Andy SpiteriHOST
9:23
Um, so lots of, lots of cool stuff going on with our, with our pals playing, uh, video games for the first time.
Andy SpiteriHOST
9:29
Uh, I am, I am playing Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave still, Doom, and, and I'm gonna reiterate, if you're, if you're gonna play one Fire Emblem, it should probably be this one 'cause it's, like, really wacky and really futuristic and very un-Fire Emblem-like in, in a lot of ways.
Andy SpiteriHOST
9:44
Um, but I, I'm really enjoying it, but, but I am gonna have to put it down, I think, for Castlevania and then of course Zelda, and I'll, and I'll try and pick it back up before Metroid Ravenous.
Andy SpiteriHOST
9:54
Too many games to play, the curse of our times, I suppose.
Corey DirrigHOST
139:53
Uh, "And I always enjoy hearing your takes on the big announcements.
Corey DirrigHOST
139:58
With the September Direct revealing Metroid Ravenous, Kirby and the World Beyond, and the new Professor Layton, which announcement do you think has the best chance of becoming one of Nintendo's biggest games? Do you, uh, think Nintendo saved any major surprises for later?" Uh, thanks for keeping the Nintendo fans informed and entertained.
Corey DirrigHOST
140:18
I always look forward to hearing what you three think.
Edward VarnellHOST
140:23
Um, so I think the biggest chance to become one of Nintendo's biggest games could be Metroid Ravenous.
Edward VarnellHOST
140:32
Um, and not saying that Kirby or Professor Layton couldn't do it.
Edward VarnellHOST
140:36
The thing with Professor Layton is that's a level five game, and that game has been through a lot of delays and stuff, so it's really up, up in the air with Professor Layton.
Edward VarnellHOST
140:47
I think the way that the Metroid Ravenous, uh, trailer was released got more people hyped up, you know? And I think-
Andre WilsonGUEST
140:57
Well, especially after Four.
Andy BHOST
64:36
Metroid Dread.
Andy BHOST
64:37
If I don't focus on Metroid Dread, I'll never be ready for Metroid Ravenous, and in my brain, there's, like, an excuse for me to buy those Amiibo if I beat it.
Andy BHOST
64:47
So...
Andy BHOST
64:47
Gears of War: E-Day.
SageGUEST
19:45
it's gonna be huge
JoshHOST
19:49
so that was our thoughts on that and then you already brought it up so this Metroid game Metroid Ravenous there and
SageGUEST
19:57
this is like a sequel to Metroid Dread I don't know if you played that one at all because I know you have the Switch
JoshHOST
20:04
I have it for the Switch.
CaseyHOST
76:53
And this.
CaseyHOST
76:54
Metroid Ravenous.
CaseyHOST
76:55
We got a trailer for that.
CaseyHOST
76:57
Indirect.
