Where it's definitely not the same thing.

So we had Model K and then, you know, the, that kind of being adapted to racing, which kind of, I- I think, kinda brings them forward, if you're thinking Mert Lawwill and, like, you know, him racing in, in the movies and all that.

That's, um, a KR750 which is a version of a Model K.

But that's not the, the, a '57 Ironhead Sportster which was a 900cc bike with overhead valves.

Um, I, like, I think about, um...

I mean, I think about on Any Sunday.

I think about Mert Lawwill.

Mm-hmm.

so guys like Gary Nixon and, you know, Cal Rayburn and Mert Lawwill, and those were the guys that I saw first, and Bart Markel.

And, and so I tried to emulate and ride like them.

Now I could never find a mechanic who was willing to take it on and try to help make it happen.

A fellow named Mert Lawwill, who's an old motorcycle racer champion, uh, sort of legendary in that world, he happens to live around here.

He lives in Timron.

And he built a prosthetic component.
