nuts but yeah I think Aragorn I like the Aragorn profile but I think that's because it feels very I'm using him in when I'm using Aragorn it's in the most thematic way that I could which is I'm using all of the tools at his disposal, at his disposal, not disposable, to try and keep Merry and Pippin and Simon Frodo alive.

Which is very fun, very cool, but it's a lot.

When he's just sat marching like a thousand Rohan warriors

I'm glad you've taken that.

My only gripe with it is that his bonus is to Hobbit's applied to Frodo and Sam.

And I wish it was just Merry and Pippin, because when I use Brighton and Fellowship, I'm like,

oh, should I take Merry and Pippin?

I just realized that one of the characters on here was in Lord of the Rings.

Mary.

Mary.

He was one of the hobbits.

Yeah.

He's 5'7".

Oh.

Yeah, he played Mary.

So she binds up her hair, puts on armour, gives herself a false name, and rides out anyway.

The second is Merry Brandybuck, one of the two young hobbit cousins who invited themselves along in the first volume, the other being Pippin Took.

Mary has also been told to stay behind, and Eowyn quietly picks him up and sets him on her saddle in front of her.

And in the middle of that battle, Sauron's greatest servant appears.

She can't do it on her own.

He's far too strong for her and she's about to die.

And Merry, who is small and terrified and has crawled around behind the Witch King in tears, stabs him behind the knee.

And the blade Merry uses isn't an ordinary blade.

You know, it's like, that's Tolkien's picture.

Even in its retreat in the books, you have Merry and Pippin and Sam and Frodo, you have Bilbo before, and they are the linchpin of the great victory.

And so they send their... they're young, they're strong, to go grow and change.

And then when they go out there and they are changed by the great adventure, they have to come back and purge the Shire.

And they're all like that.

Merry and Pippin, as goofy as they are, when they come across Sam and Frodo in that field and then they're in danger immediately, Merry figures out what to do very quickly.

He thinks of the path that they can use to get across the river running away from them.

They spring into action.

And he'll only get more now that they've branched off.

This is why the second one is my personal favorite, because I love that they're all in these little factions where Sam and Frodo are off on their own.

And then we see Merry and Pippin are alone for a long time.

And then the three of them, seeing the three of them, you're going to get to know them so much more.

And they don't seem to understand.

But then Merry puts all the cards on the table.

He explains that, yes, we understand and that they've decided to come and that it's directly this danger why they've decided to come.

And then he says, we know the ring is no laughing matter, but we are going to do our best to help you against the enemy.

He mentions right here, the ring and the enemy, the crux of everything.

The ring, the nature of the ring, the connection to Sauron, all of that is the biggest problem here.

This is the deepest secret that Frodo has been trying to hold and keep from everyone, and the biggest danger both the ring and Sauron And now his friends are revealing to him that they already know about it? Freddo is amazed here, and all he can say is, the ring? And Merry explains to him, yeah, the ring.

And he says again, my dear old hobbit.
