We're here with the head coach of the Merrimack men's hockey team, Scott Bork, who is back on the ice.

You guys are ready to defend a hockey's championship back on the ice.

I guess we'll start first with the summer.

Somebody that I've known for many years with an interesting progression into now.

becoming a head coach at the NCAA Division I level, Merrimack College up here in Andover, Massachusetts, the newly named head coach, Jeff Maja.

Jeff, thank you so much.

I know you're extremely busy, but I really wanted to get you on the podcast, and I appreciate you taking the time.

You know, is there some disappointment that the players don't reach the highest level? Of course.

That's going to be wherever you go.

You know, one of the things I would love for you to share before we get into Merrimack a little bit, because I think it's a very unique perspective because as a dad, you know, you and I both have gone through the process with regard to having sons that, you know, went through college and played at the college level.

But with regard to your son, Jeffrey, A, he played for you for a year at Northern Essex, but he started out at division one, UMass Lowell, you know, hit a bump in the road, come back and played for you at Northern Essex and then ended up at UMaine and had a great career at UMaine with coach Nick Durba.

But she's a head coach in college this season for the first time, Courtney Kennedy of Merrimack.

Thanks for joining us, Courtney.

It's great to have you.

Maybe can you tell us a little bit about what these last, what is it, six months, five months have been like for you since you got named head coach at Merrimack?

Well, first of all, thanks for having me.

I think you guys obviously, it's hard work, but you do a wonderful job always trying to Keep the game in the front.

Literally learning about the school, what the buildings are.

we'll get to that later.

So after Northeastern visits Providence, the Bears will head on the road to Durham, New Hampshire to play the Wildcats of New Hampshire on November 28th, followed by another Tuesday in Providence hosting Sacred Heart, and then up to North Andover to play the Merrimack Warriors.

That's December 1st against Sacred Heart and December 5th against Merrimack, and then coming back to Providence for a Sunday game against Stonehill.

after that's the holiday break and kicking off the 2027 side of the schedule, welcoming in Dartmouth and Harvard to at man auditorium.
