Years ago.

Mermaid Beach, walking off the beach with our little puppy, and we just went up to the shower bay to wash his face, and a guy was bending down with his little toddler, and asked if we kept the dog, and we said, yeah, sure, and as soon as I heard his voice, I just knew that silky smooth English accent, and he looked up, and those Sparkling Eyes met mine, Jude Law.

Townsville will also receive a separate $100,000 pilot grant for increased patrols.

Gold Coast councillors have voted down a bid to delay new three-hour parking restrictions along the light rail corridor between Mermaid Beach and Burley Heads due to start next week.

Councillor Josh Martin, presenting a proposal from Councillor Nick Marshall, argued the restrictions were based on assumption rather than data.

The motion was defeated three votes to four.

And that was, I think, in Miami, wasn't it? Miami.

I bought a unit in Mermaid Beach-

Yeah

... on the Gold Coast, and I actually picked up a commercial property-

I wanted to buy more, and, and I was, like, tapped out of serviceability-

Mm

... because the yield on the Teneriffe property and the Mermaid Beach property, while they were great lifestyle properties and I got use out of them and whatever else, you know, like we talk about with the 3% yield, every deal with before then had been 6, circa 6% yields.

Those 3% yields really slowed me down.

And you'll be very surprised with our top three, especially number one.

And to let you know, Surfers Paradise, like Mermaid Beach, they're not on the list.

So this is inside the Gold Coast's top 10 unit, uh, priciest suburbs.

It's definitely what I would call an upcoming pocket.

I wouldn't be surprised if Miami, in the next 24 months, surges its way into the top five.

I think not only The Nobby's precinct, that's technically obviously part of, like, Mermaid Beach, but where the Oxley is, uh, next to Miami High School, then you got Miami Marketta, that little pocket there.

I think some of those units near Miami One shopping center, I think in and around there, that's a real value pocket.

And we had work experience opportunities and decided to do a couple of private practice work experience days, and one in hydrotherapy as well, so three in total, and just absolutely loved it.

I couldn't, as a 15-year-old, I couldn't tell you what was going on in the clinic and how the head physio at the time, which was down at Mermaid Beach here on the Gold Coast, was working with his clients, but all I knew wa- was that he was helping people.

They regarded him as a trusted professional, and they got to talk about sports, and I think there was even a TV on in the corner with sports going on in it.

And so that's really where I fell in love with the idea about being a physiotherapist.
