Menlo College

So what does that allow them to do? Well, dodge the t- tough questions, dodge independent media coverage.

Uh, Menlo College political science professor, um, uh, Melissa Michaelson, I think is her name, says, uh, that they're not controlling the narrative, and so let's go online.

Now, politicians want to do this forever, but with the internet, with the ability to post in recent years, and a stat that I find stunning, half of US adults get news through social media.

And if you can control social media, there is no s- no sense of obligation, uh, to the truth, no oversight, no one looking at you.

Absolutely.

She grew up on the, the peninsula of the Bay Area in a very privileged situation, and she, uh, went to, uh, Menlo College, a small college at first, and then she went to, uh, UC Berkeley, my alma mater, where, uh, the kidnapping happened.

Mm-hmm.

So, so, so Mr. Rapoport, y- you lived nearby, um, where this kidnapping occurred.

You know, it's, it's fully integrated.

And, um, and, um, they basically fell in love.

Uh, they moved in together when she went to Menlo College.

Then, uh, she got into Berkeley.

Good stuff, man.

Pioneer High School in San Jose, Menlo College, and now, of course, doing a great job in Denver.

Brother, thanks, man.

I always appreciate the insight.

His is a great story.

I mean, I've talked to him a million times and maybe you've heard it, but this is really, really cool.

So he went to Menlo College and Bill Walsh's son was the athletic director there.

So on his recommendation, he actually got signed as an unrestricted free agent after the 2002 NFL draft.

Well, after finishing up at the academy in Saudi, Alwaleed went back to live in Lebanon, where it's said he put a lot of effort into drag car racing and generally having a good time, as befits a prince He'd planned to go to university in Beirut, but the outbreak of the Lebanese Civil War in 1975 abruptly put paid to all of that.

Instead, and I think this is an important point in the story, he went to Menlo College in California, private university in Silicon Valley, where else, where he studied business administration.

And it gave him something more than a degree 'cause it taught him how to speak the language, if you like, of American business and Western finance.

Although he did complain that his social life in California was virtually nonexistent, I don't believe him.
