Mendocino County

My husband's father owns 120 acres in Upstate New York, so we tried so hard to not come here, but [laughs] at the end, it, this property turned out to be, like, the perfect property to farm on.

We are in the capital region of Upstate New York, so we have, like, about a million people in our region who shop at our regional markets, which is just a total difference from Mendocino County in Northern California, which has about 90,000 people.

It's the size of two small states.

[laughs] So it was a real change to move back here, and everyone always talks about, "Oh, the climate must have been so hard." But actually, Northern California gets quite frigid and can have really late frosts.

They have their commune on Shattuck.

And then they have this land up in Mendocino County.

But, you know, it was just dragging a lot of kids around to stuff that they were sort of like supposed to see, quote unquote, to make them like know the world.

Yeah.

New developments tonight.

The Lucas Fire impacting both Lake and Mendocino counties is now fully contained.

Some good news there.

All evacuations are lifted and residents are headed home today.

Charmian and I disagreed as to which way the connecting stream of water ran.

we still disagree for at the hotel where we submitted the affair to arbitration the hotel manager and the clerk likewise disagreed i assume now that we will never know which way that stream runs charmian suggests both ways i refuse such a compromise no stream of water i ever saw could accomplish that feat at one and the same time the greatest concession i can make is that sometimes it may run one way and sometimes the other and that in the meantime we should both consult an oculist more valley from ukiah to willitts and then we turn westward through the virgin sherwood forest of magnificent redwood stopping at alpine for the night and continuing on through mendocino county to fort bragg and saltwater We also came to Fort Bragg up the coast from Fort Ross, keeping our coast journey intact from the Golden Gate.

The coast weather was cool and delightful, the coast driving superb.

Especially in the Fort Ross section did we find the roads thrilling, while all the way along we followed the sea.

There's 12 farms in this box, but not just from Humboldt.

They're also from Trinity and from Mendocino as well.

So we're excited to partner up with all these farmers and to help meet consumers to these farmers later this holiday season at our special events.

All right, so we're talking about the 12 J's of Xmas.

Judge Cindy Mayfield, who has been retired recently, So she's a retired judge from Mendocino County Superior Court.

And now my hearing, my case hearing for the remains of my daughter, Scarlett Rose Johnson, will be on September 30th, 2026 at 9 a.m. in Redwood City.

I'm assuming that's going to be on the second floor, but James Johnson will be the name of of the party that you can look at.

In other words, doing minimal labor, water, and pest control to keep the vineyards viable until supply comes back into balance with demand.
