Well, let me tell you, if you're not aware of who he is, which almost everybody I'm sure is, but if you're not, John Gray is the author of the iconic book, Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus.

This was the number one bestseller of 1990 and a book that USA Today named the most influential of the last quarter century.

His work has been translated into approximately 45 languages and has reached readers in over 100 countries.

John, I am so honored to have you as a guest on the Balanced, Beautiful, and Abundant show.

So, John, more than 30 years after writing Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus, you What do you believe you got the most right? And what have you learned about men and women since writing the book?

Almost everything I say in that book is still true.

This John Gray is the author of the 90s pop culture book called Men Are From Mars, Women Were From Venus.

And if you lived in the 90s – and John, I graduated from high school in 1993 – So everything about relationships was talked about in Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus.

I want to introduce our audience today to the man, the myth, the legend, the author, John Gray.

You've just listened to John Gray, author of Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus, and most recently, Beyond Mars and Venus, It Was Hormones All Along.

And I love the connection he makes in that integrated mind, body, spirit within a person, but also reaching out beyond just the individual and actually focusing on the relationships and community that we have to build in order to be integrated, healthy people.

Spoiler for most men on dating apps, physical touch is shockingly their love language.

But the other one that this podcast really dealt with was the men are from Mars, women are from Venus.

And I went and listened to the episode.

I hadn't read either of these books, but had some vague familiarity with the concept and some awareness of how deeply they've moved through popular culture and how many people are familiar, at least to some degree or other, with some of the concepts that are held therein.

And particularly, it sort of sparks some things with the men are from Mars, women are from Venus.

So one of the things that's really interesting about this book, according to this podcast, is that John Gray always puts PhD after his name, But apparently, his route of how he defines getting to call himself a PhD does not have a particular correlation to any accredited PhD program in the United States.

So at one point in an interview, he rationalized it that he had been a keynote speaker for a university that didn't even award PhDs and they gave him an honorary doctorate, so now he could use that.

And so I did indeed understand why Ginny Young had to pull her car over because she was laughing so hard.
