Memory Bomb

No flashy showmanship or artificial polish, just grounded, soulful keys that flow directly into West Coast beat culture.

On Memory Bomb, his debut solo statement for Blue Note Records, Kiefer transforms memories, daydreams, and nocturnal visions into rich, immersive soundscapes framed by a heavy-hitting rhythm section featuring Cartoons, Sheevo, Nate Smith, and Walter Smith III.

The title track offers an expansive yet surprisingly intimate look into an artist at the absolute top of his craft.

Here's Kiefer with Memory Bomb, the title track from his Blue Note Records debut.

This week's Friday Fresh Track on Jazz FM 91.

[upbeat music] This has been Friday's Fresh Track.

All right, let's listen to, uh, one of his tracks.

Uh, this is called Memory Bomb.

[jazzy music] This is Memory Bomb by Kiefer featuring Walter Smith III, Flanify, and Shibo.

Meg, um, uh, the bassist Shibo is also going to be performing this week.

What can you tell us about him, one of his collaborators?
