Memorial City Mall

Prudential Property Company, which owned it at the time, planned a $7 million renovation in 1988.

Lord & Taylor sold its location, and it also pulled out of Memorial City Mall, and Mervyn's took their place.

In 1994, in the fall, Woodlands Mall came about, and that's 16 miles north.

And that is considered the reason Greens Point Mall collapsed.

And with my Carhartt shirts, am I known to throw a couple of grapes in there when I'm coming back from the freezer? Yes, but I've never had a cinnamon roll in my pants.

You know what's the move now for me? At Memorial City Mall, when I go to the movies, they got that Chipotle in the food court.

Burrito in the hoodie, baby.

Chipotle in a movie.

[laughs] And so we meet every single month somewhere new.

This past, two Fridays ago, I believe, we went to Memorial City Mall in Houston, and we, whoever comes, comes.

I kind of just like create a flyer, and then I put it out in all the disability groups that I'm in.

And I'm gonna say, "Hey, this is where we are." And then I'll post like where we're, where we're at.

Um, [clears throat] excuse me.

We were talking about Memorial City Mall, and the construction, and the renovation there in the last hour, and some people said... 'Cause I said I reached out to Metro National to find out what are they gonna put in the spot where they're demolishing, where they're doing the demo on American Girl Cafe store, the old, old Navy, and all of that wing that's coming down.

I mean, that sounded good when you're in the movie theater over there.

I know, right?

FYE was having it.

FYE was across from the Foot Locker I worked at in Memorial City Mall.

And I noticed that every month or so they would change out the little pictures of the albums and stuff.

So one day I'm in the store and I'm friends because I'm buying music all the time.
