Memoir '44

Like last year, I got to demo Battle for Hoth.

I never played Memoir 44.

Battle for Hoth is a reskin and re-implementation of Memoir 44.

It was really fun.

It was a really, really good game.

It was great.

I would have bought it if I thought for one second I was going to get it to the table because I think it's a great game.

And there's obviously a reason Memoir 44 does so well.

Star Wars: Battle of Hoth was a big one.

That is taking the Memoir '44, uh, system and adding Star Wars on top of it.

Is that the N- North Star Games one?

I have the country of Osnmerk, which is like Austria, against Morava, which is like Czechoslovakia.

I use the Marks Little Soldiers figures from North Star and have been trying to do a gridded game with them using Memoir 34, which is a bit like a variant of Memoir 44.

The game is played with 28 mil figures on a small grid.

I've tried to get an aesthetic of an old fashioned toy soldier battle.

Okay, fair point.
