Memo Rodríguez

Yeah, yeah, we, we have a lot of thoughts on that, especially for Saturday and then all the changes that he did there.

But yeah, I mean, taking a look at the, uh, FutMob scoring for, uh, last Wednesday's game, I mean, to no surprise the highest score right there for us, at least here, 8.3 for Memo Rodriguez, which I would probably rate him higher.

Uh, I get it, Pinzon got two assists on the Las Vegas Lights side, but I'm just saying if you win the game you should have the overall man of the match.

But anyhow, he's 8.3 right there with a goal and assist.

Last match to talk about before we get into the USL Cup Final, and it was Oleks Anderson finishing Pinzon's pass in the 13th minute for Las Vegas.

He's been on form before Memo Rodriguez leveled it with a long-range strike later in the half.

So one-one going into the second half.

Teenager Carson Locker restoring the advantage in the 50th minute for, uh, the visiting Lights with his first USL Championship goal.

But in many ways, uh, it became a test and a, a test the team passed.

I think if you're gonna look at individuals, you have to start with Memo Rodriguez.

Coincidence or not, I interviewed him last week.

Got a brace and an assist just last week.

It was 12th minute after Ryan Spaulding intercepted a pass near midfield, helped launch a quick transition.

Memo Rodriguez carried the move at the left, fed Blake Willey, and when Willey was clipped in the box by Jabang, Rodriguez stepped up, buried the penalty right in the middle.

Sacramento double lead just after halftime, again by turning a New Mexico mistake into an attack.

Blake Willey picked off clearance, found Jack Gerrard wide, gears across, met Rodriguez for a headed finish.

First brace since 2023 for Memo Rodriguez.

New Mexico made it nervy, though.

Greg Hurst scoring in the 73rd minute, trying to get the deficit in half.

In the next game, which was also 2-3, they're winning those games.

But, um, but just what a joy, uh, what a joy to have him back.

And, uh, also the, my, another big takeaway that I had was just that, you know, Memo Rodriguez is really living up.

He's growing into that number eight jersey.

And, um, you know, it almost feels sacrilegious to even utter the name of the person who used to wear that number eight jersey, um, in connection with someone who's new to the team.
