What are your thoughts on the obstacles and stuff this year? We know that Giles is going to have something evil cooked up.
37:29
Some of them look like a lot of fun.
37:32
I think some of them we know are going to be pretty terrible, but I don't think that's a surprise at this point.
37:36
The obstacles, some of them excite me.
37:39
So I think I'm not terrified of any of the obstacles quite yet, except for there's one where we have to swing over water into a net that I feel like is not going to happen for me, but I'm going to give it a try.

It
38:03
um and then how did last year go because obviously we're back here at beaver castle
38:06
um last year was not good was not a good race for me um i say that like take it with a grain of salt though because i got 65 miles which i think a lot of people would consider an objectively good race It was just not what my goal was, and I was limping the entire last lap because of some inflammation in my ankle, and it was just not the race that I wanted.

take me back to the first three months at Charlie and then you get shoulder tapped to become the restaurant manager
10:03
I think one of the things that is a struggle for, you know, managers coming up through their peer groups is starting off as a, you know, colleague.
10:12
And then, you know, sometimes in quite quick succession, you become their supervisor, then you become their manager, and then you are expected to be their coach or their, you know, their leader.
10:24
And the dynamic changes so much.
10:25
And, you know, there's people you have a personal relationship with as well.
10:29
And some people... are really respectful of that dynamic change and you know some other people get a little bit it's it's it was really hard but I just kept holding on to what was inspiring me about working there and my partner at the time was a chef in another place and we just had this like energy with each other that it was like let's just like keep trying and keep doing this thing and you know if you're surrounded by inspiring people who are in the same stage as you So, yeah, I just did my best.
11:04
I think the thing there is I worked, you know, we were doing seven-day weeks sometimes, was working so hard, learning all these things, like writing a roster for the first time and, you know, figuring out, like, the rosters were a huge thing for me from an anxiety perspective.
