Some in the Black community vilified Hill as a race traitor, and identified Thomas as the real victim.

According to political scientist, author, and professor Melissa Harris Perry, after he invoked the specter of lynching, Thomas' approval ratings among Black Americans jumped to nearly 50%.

This number was surprising, in part because, according to Harris-Perry, Thomas' career as a conservative justice meant that many of his judicial decisions and philosophies ran counter to the prevailing sentiments and political ideologies of the larger Black community.

To be clear, support for Thomas from the Black community was far from universal.

Earlier this week, Michigan Democratic US Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed became the latest leftist to want control over your kids.

Over a decade ago, you and I talked about this a, a lot at the time, these, uh, crazy left MSNBC at the time hosts would cut these ads talking about their far-left dream, and one of these commentators was Melissa Harris-Perry talking about how kids shouldn't belong to parents.

We have never invested as much in public education as we should have because we've always had kind of a private notion of children.

Your kid is yours and totally your responsibility.

Um, first of all, thinking back to that Melissa Harris-Perry promo for MSNBC, now MS Now, um, the US spends...

I mean, we just passed the threshold of $1 trillion on public schooling from coast to coast and everyone.

What do we have now? They wanna get rid of the family.

You know, uh, they don't pay for my kids' diapers, right? We're gonna socialize the debt, uh, but we'll capitalize the profits for everyone.

Maybe it's types of financial statements, a balance sheet, statement of cash flows, et cetera, how many financial statements, and they'd have to sort those as well.

I was absolutely delighted when I was on Instagram the other day and came across a video short from Melissa Harris Perry and saw that in her Land, Race, and Power course, she runs a very similar sorting exercise.

It was absolutely delightful to see her with her scissors.

She had her envelope there, and she was talking about the things that her students were going to do when they would receive these envelopes, what were the di- directions, and she was comparing herself to some, gosh, some fictitious person.
