Melissa Croden

We got another, uh, bantamweight, but we're going to the female side.

Melissa Croden, she's from Canada, a friend of Gumby's other podcast.

Chelsea Chandler.

I think they're both friends of your other podcast, are they not?

... who's s- definitely stronger, more powerful on the feet, and possibly could outwrestle her too, yeah.

Like, I think Croden's in a really good spot to pick up another victory here.

So I, I'll go with Melissa Croden as well.

All right, excellent.

And lastly, in terms of ranked matchups, we will see the number 15 ranked women's bantamweight, Daria Zhelenzhkova, taking on the golden girl, Alice Pereira, who, no, is not Alex Pereira's sister.

The 30-year-old Iron Lady out of Russia, Zhelenzhkova, is just 2-2 since entering the UFC back in March of 2024, yet finds herself ranked number 15 in the world because Miesha Tate was removed from the rankings due to inactivity, and will actually be entering this fight off of a decision loss to Melissa Croden back in April.

So her last victory was a decision against Melissa Mullins, and that was last June.

But for her opponent, Alice Pereira, who is 7-1 with six of her seven wins by way of stoppage and five of those six by knockout, she is just 20 years old, still so green into this game, 10 years younger than Daria, and after just two UFC contests is getting the opportunity to insert herself into the top 15, and that is because in her most recent fight back in April against Hayley Cowan, she sent her head into the bleachers with a knee in the second round.

Yeah.

Um, and, and then really, a, Melissa Croden is a big strong girl for this weight class, and she kinda took a beating there in Canada, four takedowns, deep submission attempt, was able to find the end of 15 minutes.

I don't rate Pereira's power super highly, and the biggest thing to remember we have on the screen, she's 20 years old.

She's 10 years from her prime.
