Melisandre

That's the precedent for Renly being killed because it's Jaqen using his weird Lord of Light magic powers to kill a guy.

And what's about to happen is that Melisandre uses her weird Lord of Light magic powers

to kill a guy.

To send something, someone to go and kill this person.

This is going to be...

Because we've really gotten the sense that Stannis doesn't have strong faith in the Lord of Light per se.

He just knows Melisandre is a helpful ally.

And so, yeah, I think that's going to be a big moment for him too.

It's just, you know...

Well, and there's an element of his conversations with Tycho that seem almost like the way that he talks to Stannis or, I don't know, maybe even Mance or Melisandre, actually.

When he's talking to someone, and this is going to sound terrible because I don't think Jon is necessarily this way, but when he's talking to someone that he kind of considers an equal, I do think he changes a

little bit the way that he approaches

And then after he goes to sleep, he's woken up because a girl has arrived at Castle Black and.

I found this interesting because the first thought that John has is, you know, you know, is it Val? And then he's like, oh, it's, it's Aria.

Like Melisandre said, you know, but it's like, he doesn't rush to her the way that you would think that he would.

I don't know.

So it would make sense that she would require some kind of proof.

But I will say... that Melisandre is there and that they've already established that at least if a Red Priest is present then they can at least show somebody how to look in the flames and that person could show them something.

So maybe Melisandre could show Dany something in the flames to prove it.

The next question I found really interesting.

Jon Snow said that Dragonglass works against the White Walkers and their army.

So I very much enjoyed that little scene between Varys and Daenerys.

We also get the Melisandre scene from the trailer.

And what I liked about this scene was that Missandei corrects Daenerys and she says, actually, prince that was promised could also mean prince or princess because Valyrian is gender neutral.

And Melisandre basically tells Daenerys what we knew she was going to tell her, which is that she needs to basically hook up with Jon because she needs Jon to fight the Great War, which is to come.

So Tyrion vouches for Jon Snow because he knew Jon Snow back in season one, and Daenerys is like, okay, he can come, but she makes it clear that he must bend the knee.

All this King of the North stuff, he's gotta cut it out, gotta cut it out.

And so it's just interesting.

I think the The Wire does a good job of doing a Game of Thrones reference like Bob, because I'm now reading Game of Thrones for the first time as Bob's watching The Wire for the first time, where the Red Woman is talking about, you know, if an onion is a little bit rotted, you still call the onion rotted.

Or, you know, essentially talking about the gray in the world.

And certainly Bodhi and D'Angelo embody that, along with Prez and so many other characters, really.
