Melbourne Recital Centre

As eclectic as it was, and it was eclectic, it certainly was nowhere near as eclectic as a review I'm going to do later on as part of the Melbourne Ikebana Festival.

And this was, goodness me, a concert called Distilling Nature at the Melbourne Recital Centre, Jessica as Zody and Shosu Shimbo.

But listen, when can you tell me you've ever heard of a program that has American contemporary composers, Mort Freeman and John Cage, British popular ambient composer Brian Eno, contemporary American composer Charles Ives, then Meredith Monk, La Trobe University professor and composer Keith Humble, Scandinavian rock alternative goddess Bjork and Stephen Sondheim.

All on the same program.

George is not here.

George, they seek him there, the Scarlet Pimpernel, George Damkowski, who has promised faithfully, unreservedly, unashamedly and brazenly to be here next week with a plethora, a litany, a koshery, a multitude indeed of reviews for the Melbourne International Film Festival, for the Italian Film Festival and indeed for the Ikebana Concert.

That was on last night at the Melbourne Recital Centre.

And indeed, from my aspect, there will be, of course, the 4A Requiem.
