Megacorporation

A short recap.

The story starts when the fictional character, Benjamin, has a break with reality because he's been so beaten down by, among other things, being left destitute after the theft of his life savings by a corporation called Megacorp.

He invents a Don Quixote-esque knight-errant who travels around righting wrongs.

Only unlike Don Quixote, who is crazy, Rolando de Santa Maria del Pi of Barcelona is sane and correct about living in a world of hidden magic.

There they met an orc who ran a forge on the roof of the building, and he made magical armor for Surgeon Callie.

Then they went back to Michigan, braved an enchanted forest that tried to kill them, found the witch, Harrietta Galbraith, and she promised to take them to New Orleans to introduce them to someone who could tell them where to find the evil wizard, Fencom.

Then the CEO and COO of Megacorp got hit with a big amendment to the lawsuit by the Benjamin character, and we learned the evil wizard, Fencom, is the co-owner of Megacorp and is using it to fund the project which will be the culmination of the curse upon this country which is taking the form of a giant egg he's growing in a Quonset hut outside his lair in South Dakota.

The CEO and COO assured him they could keep the case quiet and protect his identity by having the police arrest Benjamin on trumped up charges.

It is set several hundred years in the future, after World War 3, it's just super cyberpunk dystopia.

Megacorps everywhere, Earth is just an irradiated wasteland and everyone on it just wants to get off and join the Space Nations.

And the Space Nations are currently being blockaded out of Earth by the Megacorp in charge, and no one's sure why.

And amidst all of this, you are an android, just a little android thing, and then you wake up and go, holy shit, I'm sapient.
