Capcom's Mega Man only really grew beyond the game screen after having completed four separate adventures.

In Japan, where Bandai handled much of the merchandising for Nintendo characters, the first Mega Man keshi, or miniature monochromatic eraser figures, that's what keshi are, well, they were for Mega Man 4.

And the first painted figures were for Mega Man 5.

The first American Mega Man toy line, also by Bandai, was based on the Mega Man cartoon, which debuted all the way in 1994, the same year that Mega Man 6 came to America.
