Meg Tilly

Uh, Vera Miles, she plays the character of, uh, Lila.

Her daughter in the movie, which, uh, sorry, spoiler alert, but that's played by Mer- or Meg Tilly, and her name is Mary.

And then we have Robert Loggia and, uh, Dennis Franz as some supporting characters.

This movie is like the original Psycho n- but just different.

Like, "I'm going through all this because of Marge, because I don't wanna tell her, and I'm trying to at some point be nice to Patty and Selma because it means something to her.

Oh, and a reminder to our listeners that Patty and Selma, based on Sam Simon's real-life sister-in-laws, which means one of these, either Patty or Selma, is Meg Tilly.

[laughs]

They're based on Jennifer Tilly's sisters, so.

But everyone forgets about her.

Meg Tilly, of course.

Meg Tilly.

And then, and then they got, uh, uh, Jeeves, the insensitive, uh, prick of a improv butler, I guess.

[laughs] I mean, if you- She hires an improv guy as a butler, but really he's a, supposed to be a guard to keep people away from the Nica door, where she's ball gagged and locked in a- And the only thing he's trying to guard is the English language, and I don't understand how you look at those two kids and just don't go, "Where, how do I get these clothes?" [laughs] "This is amazing.

[laughs] We got Gina Gerson.

Oh, don't you mean The Face/Off? Uh, we got Sutton Stracke.

We got Meg Tilly.

However, it has been quite a few years since I've seen this movie, and it was a nice revisit to the past.

And like I'd already mentioned, not only does this movie star Tom Berenger, but it also stars Glenn Close, Jeff Goldblum, Kevin Kline, Joe Beth Williams, William Hurt, Mary Kay Place, Meg Tilly, and Patricia Gaul.

A once close-knit gang of friends, including an actor played by Tom Berenger, a doctor played by Glenn Close, and her husband played by Kevin Kline, a Vietnam veteran played by William Hurt, and a journalist played by Jeff Goldblum, meet for a weekend after the funeral of a much-envied friend, Alex, who committed suicide.

The friends spend the weekend confronting the personal truths, sacrifices, and betrayals that have left them disenchantized.

So that decision helped shape the film into a story that follows both the legal process and the the personal experience of a survivor, Sarah Tobias.

Many A-list actresses were offered the role of Sarah Tobias, and that included Demi Moore, Jennifer Beals, Meg Tilly, Kim Basinger, Rosanna Arquette.

They all rejected this role because the film was so controversial at the time.

Producers Sherry Lansing and Stanley Jaffe said, they did have reservations about casting Jodie Foster as the main character.

It should be just the squirrel.

Directed by Lawrence Kasdan, stars Tom Berenger, Glenn Close, Jeff Goldblum, William Hurt, Kevin Kline, Mary Kay Place, Meg Tilly, and Jo Beth Williams.

Listen to that.

What an incredible cast for a terrible movie.
