Meet the Spartans

I didn't even find like a family guy joke.

There is obviously a reference in Meet the Spartans.

And that references Leonidas from 300 sees a dancing penguin and calls it happy feet, which brilliant.

In the 2007 film Surf's Up, which we will discuss next year as the third and final of our three-year, three-penguin movie triumvirate, that's a mockumentary about surfing penguins.

Like, if any of you have heard of a horror film called Wolves from a couple years ago, there was a werewolf movie with Jason Momoa in it from, uh, from, uh, Game of Thrones, that was a movie I got to see on the big screen because we got sort of the contractual obligation screening of it.

Uh, it was a, I saw a movie from last year called Superfast, which was basically the guys that did Meet the Spartans taking on the Fast and Furious franchise, which played for a week, and I went and saw that.

It's not good.

I don't recommend you seek out Superfast.

However, arbitration is a fickle process and it's very difficult to know for sure just how much Friedberg and Seltzer material made it into the final draft of Scary Movie.

However, Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer made who used two of the six writers of Scary Movie in their future promotional material, went on to make such comedy classics as Date Movie, Epic Movie, Meet the Spartans, Disaster Movie, Vampire Suck and The Starving Games.

And I'm not going to explicitly state that Scary Movie couldn't have been written by the same people that made those movies.

Scary Movie has its problems, but it's also leagues above all those other parodies.
