I mentioned earlier fires in the Spokane area.

There was the Medical Lake fire.

I believe that was last year.

Statistics that the Spokesman Review reported in terms of cancellations in that area following that fire rose from three per 1,000 policies in 2022 to 16 per 1,000 policies in 2024.

And by the way, these are two sets of statistics.

There's cancellations and then there's non-renewals.

The non-renewals were the ones that increased 16 to 23 per 1,000 in that Medical Lake area.

And I want your viewers to know that we track those cancellations and non-renewals, and we've been tracking them for a reason, because we know that where we're seeing these pockets around the state, that should be an area where we focus our mitigation efforts, I think.
