His name is Lachlan Waugh.

He used to work here with us at MediaWorks, but now he's been poached and he works at Sky TV now.

He's one of the producers there.

I've got a friend that works for one of the news companies here in New Zealand and they don't accept any kind of PR gifts either because in case a story comes out that this company's been bad and they've then taken a gift from them, so they can't accept any kind of gifts from any kind of companies.

Yeah, we're actually in our terms and conditions here at MediaWorks.

As an announcer, you cannot accept any gifts and if you do, you have to let somebody know and then they'll decide whether you take it or not.

I remember going there plenty of times and the lads would just have a drink and I don't know.

And we used to do it at MediaWorks all the time.

Well, we did it up until like a year ago.

And we had like a drinks cart and we'd come around on a Friday and sometimes I would come back into it because we finished work

I'm assuming it's also your second language, Randy? Yeah, we'll go for that.

Yeah, because we just want to apologise to the employees of MediaWorks.

Today they had a market day where people from every radio station...

Where people from every radio station could set up their stands...

and I

felt like they'd launched The Rock into Brisbane strategically when they thought they were going to purchase MediaWorks themselves, which they didn't.

SEN got that.

So this survey...

I think The Rock had ended up on a frequency that Nova had been using for Fresh Country in Brisbane, which was not working.

But in Brisbane on the DAB platform, there was only one station that appeared, which was their Nova Throwbacks or something like that, and no Nova Fresh Country anymore, and no The Rock.

So I think that is a sign to me that The Rock is – I think now that they've lost out on MediaWorks, their interest in promoting a MediaWorks station is

gone.

Uh, borrowing a Rock ute.

Uh, on your way on last Thursday, it was, in the Rock ute, uh, drove into a Mediaworks employee's car, and it was quite a flash car actually.

Toyota GT86 2012, uh-

Valued at $25,000.

That was their complaint.

Um, and they also, Stuff made a good point, we talked about it last week, but MediaWorks, you know, being taken over by the SEG, the Australian sporting broadcaster, um, that could create more competition for NZME as well in the radio market and, uh, advertising as well.
