They'll start to get weak, and you'll just be like, "This looks terrible, [laughs] and it's right in my front yard where everybody walks." But I think herbaceous perennials are always a great choice, and it's a good idea, as much as I love shrubs, um, to mix them together, you know, to mix the herbaceous perennials and the shrubs and have that dynamic display of things coming and going.

Yeah, that's what I was gonna suggest, uh, maybe something like Double Play Dolly Spiraea.

Mm, Spiraea's a great choice, yeah.

I've seen Spiraeas driven over by garbage trucks and bounce back, right? And if you were to combine that and mix in some herbaceous perennials that maybe have blue flowers to contrast that yellow foliage, I think it'd be quite stunning.

Definitely, and, uh, I think that the weigela should be fine.

I think that the potentilla should be-

well.

So, you know, if you want to stick with a native palette, then Spirea lucida, and I'm not, I assume that it's still referred to as birch leaf Spirea, even though the name has changed.

So the name has changed, but the common name hasn't.

Thank goodness common names remain consistent.
