Their official headquarters is in Dayton, Oregon, which is just outside of McMinnville, which is about 36 miles west of Portland.

And...

It's beautiful up there.

maybe anywhere.

They have absolutely perfect growing conditions for it.

We did go to one, we went to a couple of tasting rooms in downtown McMinnville, cute little town.

We went to a couple of tasting rooms there.

And with that, let's go to our restaurant and corkage of the week.

[upbeat music] We left Walla Walla, and we burned it to McMinnville.

True story.

Um, [laughs] on a kind of a shortened trip we were gonna do.

We ended up having something come up, had to get back home, and so only spent one night in Mc- pulled into McMinnville and went to Octa Farms & Kitchen.

Had not been there since it originally opened up.

It has a new chef.

And that would be huge for Linfield because they've only got three games scheduled at home this entire regular season.

So some home playoff games would be welcome there in McMinnville.

I'm sure they would appreciate that.

Yeah, it may be crazy to think about teams that are already having things that look like elimination games.

He lost me, he lost me, uh, and there was, there was a few cars, he lane split and was gone and I'm like, "Man, that guy's psycho." And I get to the dealership and he's like, "Dude, I've been here for five minutes.

Where were you at?" You know, [laughs] I'm laughing, but learned about the Hokahe and I, it was r- uh, right after that though was the, I think the PacWest, uh, motorcycle show and, uh, up in McMinnville and at the, at the booth for, uh, Law Tigers, uh, was a guy talking about Mile Monsters, and it was Bradley and good old Fonda.

And I, I saw his bike and I'm like the numbers on the side, I'm like, "That's, that's a Hokahe rider right there.

I gotta go talk to that guy." And, and, uh, ended up talking to Bradley and, and, uh, we're as- I was asking about the bike and the lights that he's got and his setup and everything, and just super great guy, you know? And- And I, I said, "So, so where are you riding next?" He goes, "Oh, I f- [laughs] I forget exactly where, but it was, it was, it was somewhere far." He's like, "Yeah, I found this little lunch spot in Kentucky, and, uh, we're gonna go.

In the heart of Oregon wine country, McMinnville offers more than rolling vineyards and world-class tasting rooms.

It's also home to one of aviation's most remarkable achievements, where a legendary aircraft and the story behind it continue to inspire visitors from around the world.

There are moments in history when ambition seems to outgrow reality.

Ironically, the airplane was not actually built from spruce.

Howard Hughes disliked the nickname, believing it diminished the engineering achievement, but the catchy name stuck and eventually became far more recognizable than its official designation, the Hughes H-4 Hercules.

Today, the Hercules rests inside the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum in McMinnville, Oregon.

After spending decades displayed in Southern California, the aircraft was carefully transported to Oregon in the late 1990s and became the centerpiece of the museum's aviation collection.
