McMaster Marauders

So one of those undefeated teams will fall this coming weekend.

But let's talk about their game against the McMaster Marauders because this one really was a close matchup, if not for one quarter, where a surprising one for McMaster, a defense that we've been praising all season long, gives up everything.

21 points in the second quarter, much like, you know, Ottawa did in the third quarter there, a 21-point quarter is really kind of what swung the momentum for one team and killed it for the other.

Yeah, and

That victory marked the 15th consecutive win for the Mustangs, and that means it has been now 15 years since the Gales last toppled their dynastic adversaries.

The Mustangs will enter this game with a boatload of momentum as they were able to upend the undefeated McMaster Marauders 32-25 in an absolutely ugly slugfest of a game that saw 6 total turnovers and just 57 total points scored.

Western's output of 32 points is their lowest scoring total of the season.

This was an offense that was averaging well over 55 points per game prior to last Saturday's matchup with McMaster.

undefeated teams

as the 4-0 McMaster Marauders are heading to London to take on the now 3-0 Western Mustangs.

I think this is going to be a disaster.

This is going to be some full-on, hard-nosed, smash-mouth football.

Laurier with a lot of work to do and a big hill to climb to get themselves back into this playoff picture now.

Yeah, I really felt like Laurier was in control for most of this game, but I do want to go back to you know, that final touchdown drive for the Marauders to give them the win on this one.

Not going to talk too much about the call.

I mean, that's a bang-bang play.

It's just fun to think about right now at this point in the season and Jerome Rancourt is playing some darn good

football as are the Western Mustangs.

Really excited to see the matchup that they have coming up in week four as they gear up in week five as they gear up to play the McMaster Marauders.

But we still have one game to get through in the recap and that is...

Connor, a lot of really good matchups in our big one this week.

Obviously, it's a top ten matchup between the McMaster Marauders, who are still rocking and rolling, and the Laurier Goldenhawks, who have found themselves at the tail end of two really close games.

They put them at one and two.

I don't know.

Absolutely, Wade.

And Laurier is definitely going to have their hands full going into next week as they have to take on one of the other 3-0 teams in the McMaster Marauders.

So let's talk about them as they picked up their third win of this season in a 25-3 win over the York Lions.

Shout out Michael Horvat.

I'm pretty sure we can expect some wrinkles at some point, if not this week, at some point in the season with this Western offense as he continues to move along with the new team in London.

But let's move on because there are plenty of other great games to get to in the 1 o'clock slate this coming weekend, starting with the McMaster Marauders and the York Lions.

Mack's defense has clearly been the story for them, for York.

Started off hot in week one.

Christian Chuck Wally, Connor, have we talked about that name yet this year? Because he's starting to get on a little heater.

Ryan Broom as well had three sacks last week for McMaster.

So this front seven for the Marauders is tough to handle.

They are all speed all the time, and they fly around and make quarterbacks really uncomfortable really early.

Yeah, and speaking of physical football and playing with a chip on your shoulder, let's move on.

Let's move to the McMaster Marauders and the Guelph Griffins.

Mack getting a 20-11 win over the Guelph Griffins.

And Wade, defense, defense, defense, I think is what's impressed me most through the first two games for McMaster.

And this one means, and they all mean a lot to me, folks, but this one does.

And he burst on the scene in the Hamilton football scene with the McMaster Marauders.

And after winning four consecutive Yates Cups, made the...

I never heard move from the Canadian CIS at the time.

And that kind of showed as they, as they pitched scoreless innings in those two, uh, those two quarters.

Uh, and again, talking about good defenses this week, right? Like the McMaster Marauders in this one, um, Shoot, hold on.

McMaster Marauders in this one had an interception of their own.

Four sacks.

They were getting after the ball like you're talking about.

He'd take an inside zone handoff and immediately start looking to cut and go east-west instead of north-south.

Delaney had a couple carries, but he's more of that hammer guy that we thought Mambo should be.

Yeah, certainly some growing pains maybe going forward in week one to two for Windsor here, but a hot start for the McMaster Marauders getting off to that 1-0 that they wanted.
