And so when I first started here 10 years ago, I think Ed Murphy and Ned Kruger had just received the first bit of analytical funding from the previous legislative session, and I remember being out backpacking coal out of probably the Badlands in McKenzie County and asking Ned probably, you know, rare earths from coal, is that ever going to really happen? And he said probably something like, maybe.

That is an increase of 1.12% from June to July.

Going into the top 10 counties by total oil production in the state, McKenzie County still leading the way, followed by Williams, Dunn, Montreal and Divide County.

McKenzie County currently is coming in about 34 of North Dakota's production.

And the top five counties make up 96%

of North Dakota's total oil production.
