Yeah, and what is the problem is that if you look forward, let's say we went forward about 100 years, okay? And what would happen is one of the apples that you would really know, Matt, today would disappear, and that is something called the McIntosh.

Okay, I'm not a big McIntosh fan myself.

And then we're making clones of the plants, Marianne.

Oh, yes, that's right, they are clones, like the McIntosh tree.

Every single McIntosh apple comes from one tree found more than 100 years ago, and every tree has come from a cutting that has been propagated.

Yeah, so we can propagate our own plants, and it is wonderful because often you'll have a plant that's really healthy and you want to share it with a friend, something like that, or you just have more of them for yourself, and you can do that quite simply, and faster than growing from seed because growing from seed can take some time.

Some plants are very slow to grow from seed.

And he said, well, I went to the garden center and I couldn't find any of these varieties.

But I got you what I found, you know, Macintosh apple, Bartlett pear, this and this.

And I'm like, oh, only later did I realize the book was written in California, a totally different climate.

And I'm in Canada.
