I'd just like to call on Erika from, uh, Tafelberg to also please just come say a few words for us, and they're the publishers of, uh, Dr. Mbuyiseni Ndlozi's book.

Good evening, everybody.

One would have thought that this is a fundamentally unique situation because many of our African academics of this quality and international renown choose Western university and end up in institutions like Harvard, et cetera, as their home base.

Dr Mbembe's academic journey justifies and testifies to an important single fact, which he has demonstrated, that Africans and Africa is the place from which internationally celebrated academic talent and scholarship can certainly be produced.

But most importantly, he's a teacher, and Dr Mbuyiseni's teacher, and so as we shall see tonight, we'll brid- we'll bridge another gap between two generations of African scholars, a student and his teacher.

We are honored to have him join us here tonight.

We saw how he treated two individuals that served him the longest, were the most loyal to him.

And she's not above that treatment that Ndlozi received where he had his wife insulted that Shimambu received.

And you could say Shimambu stabbed Julius Malema and kicked the dog when it was down.

Yes.

And when the speaker forfeits her ability to be seen as an independent, she forfeits the confidence of this house to preside over it.

The ANC chief whip, Mbuyiseni Ndlozi, had a counter for their argument.

This motion asks us to remove a speaker, not for defying the Constitutional Court, not for halting an im- an impeachment inquiry, not for shielding a president from accountability, but for choosing a legally different, a procedurally sound way of assisting a court to understand the perspective complementary roles of the two cons- constitutional actors both moving towards the same destination, which is a compliance with a binding judgment of our apex court.

Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Ronald Lamola, has welcomed a formal retraction by ANC veteran, Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, of allegations linking him to illicit voice notes and vote buying during internal party elections.

The controversy erupted earlier this month following Dlamini-Zuma's appearance on the African Renaissance podcast hosted by former EFF MP, Dr. Mbuyiseni Ndlozi.

During the episode, the former minister leveled explosive allegations against high-ranking ANC officials, claiming that illicit financial influence heavily dictated internal election outcomes.

Following the broadcast, Lamola issued a strong legal demand to Dlamini-Zuma, instructing her to publicly retract the claims linking him to the 2017 vote buying allegations.

But I, I think that's, it's got to be tested, you know, Ndlozi, to be honest with you.
