I don't like comparing men's players to women's players, but a bit of old school Ronald Koeman coming out in there.
C

Same country.
Big Three battles, Lionesses roar on and earning an England call-up!

And, well, even when Chelsea won the league, not last season, the season before, sometimes they were scoring goals in the... 80th to 90th minute you know that it was them finding a way to win it was the same as against Arsenal the other day they just had to do in a different way which was defensively being strong so yeah I think like he'd said they're they're just a winning mentality team and right now that's what they're doing
C
14:05Caroline BarkerHOST
and we all wondered how they do you know without Sam Kerr I know they brought Mallard in but clearly their greatest striker at the moment is Keira Walsh
N
14:14Nikita ParrisHOST
well she has scored on a few to be fair to that you know we know Keira for the quality that she has on the ball and you know being able to keep the team going from defence to attack make the team flow but now she's getting higher up the pitch and you know she's scored a few goals from outside the box and you know Keira's quality and leadership skills will only benefit Chelsea's performances
C
14:37Caroline BarkerHOST
Yeah, she does all right.

And when we talk about Aggie, we're talking about a position at Chelsea that they're currently needing players in.
N
31:42Nikita ParrisHOST
So we're talking about Ramirez not being there.
N
31:46Nikita ParrisHOST
Mallard is a competition.
N
31:48Nikita ParrisHOST
And Aggie is, for me, the backup striker at this point in time.

She was getting bollocked by teammates for not making runs and I don't really know where we go.
C
19:37Clayton BeermanHOST
Obviously, Mallard was good.
C
19:40Clayton BeermanHOST
She pressed.
C
19:41Clayton BeermanHOST
Um, she should've scored in the second half.
R

So again, there's kind of like two sort of trains of thought with this in that one, we're creating the chances, and I think I'd be more concerned if we weren't creating the chances to score.
R
20:09RichGUEST
Um, and then the second is obviously the lack of, you know, being clinical in front of goal, which is a concern, but not as much as I think as if we weren't creating the chances at all.
R
20:20RichGUEST
Um, I thought Mallard's movement was pretty good, and she was getting herself into positions to take shots, and she was taking them.
R
20:27RichGUEST
Okay, um, you know, she, she didn't take any, um...

Okay.

Uh, Mayra Ramirez from Colombia has been dealing with some injury issues, and then now there's a rumor that, uh, Paris Saint-Germain is looking at Mayra Ramirez, so she might be out of Chelsea.
G
55:43Grant EngleGUEST
Aggie Beaver-Jones, their English, uh, 22-year-old forward-

And there are elements of her game which... have been annoying you know like there's there's missing chances right which is a bit like oh it's just hard if you're in strike stuff but like the offside stuff is annoying if you can't have the level of concentration that you you can make better runs that you're not you know and they're not small offsides right so that's the kind of stuff where i'm like yeah maybe you do just need to sit for a bit until you can get your head straight and like concentrate on those elements of your game Because I think I can forgive a striker missing chances, but there's more to it, right, than just that.
F
59:23Flo Lloyd-HughesHOST
Yeah, it'd be interesting to see where her kind of role materialises, obviously with Mallard not expected to be out that long.
F
59:32Flo Lloyd-HughesHOST
Probably as soon as Mallard's back, she's going to be a sub option anyway.
F
59:38Flo Lloyd-HughesHOST
And before Kerr left and Bunny didn't arrive, it was up in the air whether she would still be at Chelsea.
F
59:45Flo Lloyd-HughesHOST
Now she's got the new contract.
