Karen Bass was asked about the homeless response in the capital of homeless that she is the mayor of, the city of Los Angeles.

Jacob Soboroff knows a little more than your traditional national reporter because he lives here.

So even though this is a cable news interview, there was some local substance to it and, uh, well, she doesn't come off great.

Your office said it was because of scheduling.

What's going on there? What's the solution? Um, why are you leaving this panel?

Well, she's trying to distance herself from the very, very, very corrupt Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority, who, don't forget, when Karen Bass first became mayor in 2022, she appointed the head of LAHSA, her friend from the crooked nonprofit the St. Joseph Center, Valeisha Adams Kellum.

Street vendors have become the latest front in the LA Mayor's race.

Mayor Karen Bass has told the LAPD to stop ticketing them.

The new focus comes after Bass said vendors shouldn't be allowed in front of brick-and-mortar restaurants, which her critics say compared them to encampments.

It's been a long time heated debate.

Should vendors face stricter regulations? The issue now stirring things up in the race for LA mayor.

That is L.A. Mayor Karen Bass on the campaign trail begging for cash, as all candidates do.

But did you catch that part where she said, give $5 and the city turns it into $25? The L.A.

city government has a public matching campaign fund.

She, she's been a council member for six years.

Uh, but you know, it was known in, in our district and among people that follow LA politics closely, but that's, You know, this is going to be an election that's won on turnout, on mobilization, on getting her name out and her agenda to a wider audience and voters that are sympathetic to her.
