They had a little bit of a wobble for a period against Cara, but they came strong in the end.

So I think they'll go into this as strong favourites.

I think Maynooth, have been a little bit inconsistent or certainly putting up some good results in the last few years, but not on a consistent basis and not quite making that breakthrough obviously into the top four that you're kind of hoping a club with their kind of underage development and the growing size of the town that they're going to make a breakthrough.

um in football kind of in the way that they have in hurling but they haven't quite got there yet so I think this is a big game for them and good opportunity for them you know as Tommy notes and like for those that are looking on on YouTube you know only they only need a draw because they're one point in terms of scoring difference better off than sarsfields so you know a draw for them they top the group and they get a second place team in the quarterfinals so and plenty riding on it from their perspective so i retract my comment about dead rubber definitely not uh when i think about it so uh i i do think sarah feels we'll come through it but i don't think it'll be uh i don't think it'll be easy and they can be a good game cara and carberry and like carberry of owen cully absolutely flying um cara have been a little bit disappointing i'd say even from their own perspective haven't reached the quarterfinal last year really put it up to a tie when they got there and they've had great momentum obviously over the last couple of years with the intermediate title and the Leinster run and all the rest of it so it's been a little bit of a dip for them I think this year whether they can pull that back pull that form back against Carberry I'm not sure I kind of have a sneaking feeling Carberry might be the better bet in this one but I wouldn't have a strong opinion on that but again finishing third and playing a bottom place team you know, could be a big factor in, you know, in progressing in the A Championship and avoiding the relegation battle.
