love mayhem devil i love mayhem devil so you know it's kind of like a fetch land in that sense where it can activate a thing we love that um it actually actually gives mayhem devil two pings if you really think about it through entire straights right so you sacrifice the volatile fault that's a mayhem devil ping and then you get a treasure sacrifice the treasure that's a mayhem double ping so really if you have mayhem devil that's two damage boom cannon dead exactly um so maybe it's three pings if you give the land to somebody else who then has a sylvan safekeeper and then they sack that one too bada bing bada boom you know i don't know why they wouldn't be just sacking the other thing originally no i guess because you wouldn't get the treasure token so it's actually relevant okay boom we got there that's pretty good yep All right, let's get into the intermission segment, y'all.

What we're going to do is you're going to provide me the flavor text of a CEDH staple, and it's going to be my job as well as listeners at home to guess which CEDH staple has this flavor text.

Probably these cards might be too powerful just mechanically, just on power level.

But like, you know, I'm not seeing cards like Mayhem Devil or Judith, the Scourge Diva, things that like, you know, actively reward you for sacrificing stuff.

I'm not seeing that stuff here.

I've seen lists that go way in on like treasures and trying to make as many treasures as possible, that so you can Mayhem Devil people.

had a way to consistently deal damage to something, I would definitely play this.

You could do a Thras Vile list with this and Mayhem Devil

type stuff.

Uh, I'll put Mikaeus as recursion, Rise of the Dark Realms as recursion.

And there's a lot of cards that are supporting that type of type of deck.

But another one that's been seemed to have gotten a lot of conversation from the roto drafts is mayhem devil that wasn't on my radar as like, too absurdly good.

But it is certainly powerful.

I mean, like it punishes fetches, it punishes your opponent's tokens, their treasure tokens, their whatever, because it triggers when anybody sacrifices anything.

That does not strike me as...

I don't remember how many people, but certainly one person at least, pack one, pick one-ed it or picked it first in their rotisserie seat, which I'm not sure I would do as much as I love Sacrifice.

Mayhem Devil, I would be surprised if that was too powerful to include because Red Black Sacrifice is supported and just feels like Mayhem Devil is so iconic in that space.
