So I serve on the House Agriculture Committee with Congresswoman Budzinski.

And what we have seen with the Farm Bill reauthorization, especially for someone like me who represents the Willamette Valley and Oregon represents Congresswoman Dexter and I both represent Oregon.

We have a lot of specialty crops.

Congresswoman Maxine Dexter is leading the effort to pass the Wildland Firefighter Health and Safety Act.

Establish health and safety standards specific to wildland firefighters and actually pay you for the time it takes to shower, decontaminate your gear, and minimize toxic exposures going home.

A pilot program would develop special respirators for wildland firefighters.

And I don't want my four children to be told to keep secrets from me so that the teachers can make the decisions for my family.

Wildland firefighters don't get the same protection as structural firefighters, but this act would establish health and safety standards.

well the house veterans affairs committee plans to subpoena issue those legal documents to oracle chairman lair ellison and ceo mike cecilia to compel them to testify over a 16.9 billion dollar increase to the veterans affairs department's electronic health systems contract now terry this is unusual because the committee unanimously agreed to this motion put out there by congresswoman maxine dexter of oregon after oracle pulled out of the wednesday oversight hearing Now, Dexter says there's plenty of reasons to investigate and force Oracle to testify.

I do not take this step lightly, and I do not believe any member of this committee would.

We are here because we care about the same thing, making sure veterans receive the care they were promised and making sure taxpayers get what they are paying for.

A closed-door private roundtable cannot replace congressional oversight that happens here in this hearing room.

Oracle needs to appear before this committee in this room in a formal setting to answer our questions.

Now, what's interesting, Terry, about this is Dexter's motion was not only unanimously agreed to by all the committee, but they actually, there's a lot of Republicans and Democrats very frustrated by one, Oracle not showing up and two, VA's lack of transparency.

Now, when will they deliver that subpoena is unclear, but obviously the frustration is real and they are demanding more transparency because they believe they need to have more details about the $17 billion increase to the EHRM contract.
