First up on the list, Maximum Ride from 2016, released by Paramount.

This is a young adult sci-fi movie.

It adapts the first half of Patterson's inaugural book in that specific series, The Angel Experiment.

It is full-blown demonic religious horror.

It is the omen meets the exorcist under a James Patterson banner.

But I want to circle back to the mechanics of Maximum Ride for a second because our source material notes some serious, devastating behind-the-scenes chaos during its production.

Yeah, that production was famously troubled.

The tonal clash is irredeemable.

And skip the 2016 Maximum Ride movie unless you were a diehard book fan.

But don't think this viewing guide is final because Patterson's pipeline is relentless.

What do we have coming up next?

I don't know the last time I read a James Patterson book.

Probably the Maximum Ride books back when I was in middle school.

That's definitely for me.

Yeah.

The last James Patterson book.

And I wouldn't even say it was the last Maximum Ride book.

It was just of that era.
